Bangladesh’s new High Performance programme coach Mal Loye has said that he will use his two decades of playing experience to help promising cricketers mature into international players. Loye, who has recently completed coaching’s Level 4, will start the new role in the first week of June.”I played around the world for 20 years at first-class and international level,” Loye told . “I recently completed my Level 4 coaching as well and hopefully I’ll be able to use that experience and knowledge to help transform promising players into international players.””It is the next generation of players they’re hoping to produce for that country. There will be one or two players on the fringe of the full Bangladesh team. I guess it’s like an A team in England terms and a few Under-19s as well.”Loye said that living away from his family will be tough but wants to embrace the challenge. He will work under Paul Terry, the new director of coaching at the National Cricket Academy in Bangladesh, and someone he has known for a long time.”Life out there has its challenges, but that’s part of the reason I wanted to go, and the biggest challenge will actually be leaving my young family for a couple of months at a time.”But it’s something I need to do for my career, and I’m really excited about working with international players again. Paul is someone I played against and who I know pretty well.”Loye has been working as a coach at Wellingborough and Oundle schools as well as playing for Buckinghamshire and doing expert commentary for BBC Radio.
